What an Asset Group Is
An asset group is a themed bundle of creative inside a PMax campaign. Google mixes its text, images, videos, and logos to build ads for every channel automatically.
Think of it as one audience-creative theme. Most accounts run multiple asset groups, each aligned to a product line, persona, or offer.
The Required Asset Inventory
Each asset group needs a minimum set: headlines, long headlines, descriptions, images at multiple aspect ratios, a logo, and ideally video.
If you do not provide video, Google may auto-generate one from your images, often low quality. Supplying your own video protects brand and performance.
Minimum per asset group:
Headlines 3-5 (max 15, 30 chars)
Long headlines 1-5 (90 chars)
Descriptions 2-5 (90 chars)
Images 1.91:1, 1:1, 4:5
Logo 1:1 (and 4:1)
