Posture Fix: Height Maximizer
Posture Fix: Height Maximizer — Guided posture exercises and desk stretches for the height you already have
Posture Fix: Height Maximizer is a free iOS and Android app of guided posture exercises and desk stretches for the spine, hips, hamstrings, neck and shoulders. Each routine is a timed sequence of steps, and a daily streak, sleep and nutrition check-offs and a height log keep it going. It does not make you grow. It helps you stand at the full height you already have instead of a slouched one.

It does not make you taller. It stops slouching from hiding your height.
Your spine compresses a little through the day and slouching adds to it, so you can stand shorter than your natural height. Stretching can ease that compression and loosen tight hips and shoulders. Once growth plates have closed, no stretch lengthens bones, and the app says so in plain words.
What it is
Posture Fix: Height Maximizer is a free iOS and Android posture and stretching habit app for adults. It offers 26 guided routines across five body areas (spine, hips, hamstrings, neck and shoulders), each a timed step-by-step sequence from beginner to advanced, with a daily streak tracker, sleep and nutrition check-offs, a height log in cm or ft/in, progress photos and short articles on posture, sleep and desk setup. It does not increase adult height and is not medical advice.
Stop any stretch that hurts, and talk to a doctor first if you have an injury, a spinal condition or ongoing back or neck pain. See Safety and limits.

What it looks like

Background
Can posture exercises make you look taller, and what can they not do?
Posture exercises can change how tall you stand, but not how tall you are. The discs between your vertebrae compress gradually through the day, and slouching, a stiff upper back, tight hips and a forward head can all make you stand shorter than your natural standing height. Stretching and mobility work can ease that, which is why people sometimes measure a little taller after loosening up. What no exercise, stretch or supplement can do is lengthen your bones once your growth plates have closed, typically by the late teens to early twenties.
Spinal compressionnormal, and partly recoverable
Sitting, standing and everyday loading squeeze the soft discs between your vertebrae, so small changes in height across a day are normal. Gentle decompression stretches such as cat-cow or a cobra stretch aim to ease that pressure, not to change the length of the vertebrae.
Slouched posturewhat hides your height
A rounded upper back, shoulders pulled forward and a head that juts ahead of the body all shorten how you stand. Neck and shoulder routines, chin tucks and a doorway chest opener work on exactly those positions.
Tight hips and hamstringsthe desk-worker's pattern
Hours of sitting shorten the hip flexors and hamstrings, which tilts the pelvis and rounds the lower back. Hip flexor openers, a kneeling lunge, pigeon pose and a forward fold are the usual counter-moves.
Growth platesthe honest limit
Bones lengthen at the growth plates, and these close after puberty. After that, claims about growing taller with exercises or supplements are not true, and this app does not make them.
Habits around the stretchsleep, food and the desk
Consistent sleep supports recovery, calcium and vitamin D matter for bone health in general, and a monitor at eye level with regular breaks reduces slouching. None of them is a height claim, which is why the app treats them as habits to tick off.
How it works
How the app is used day to day
One short routine, one tap to check off, and a streak that shows the habit building over weeks.
Pick a body area and start the timer
Choose spine, hips, hamstrings, neck or shoulders and follow the guided routine. Every stretch is a timed sequence of steps, so you know what to do and for how long.
Check off your habits
Tick stretch, sleep and nutrition for the day on the Track tab. Your current and longest streak and your week at a glance update from those check-ins.
Log, photograph and plan
Add a height log entry in cm or ft/in when you measure, take a check-in photo for your own record, and let Pro build a seven-day stretch plan from a few questions about your posture and your week.

Fit
Who it's for — and who it isn't
A good fit if you
- Sit at a desk most of the day and want to counter slouched, compressed posture
- Want a short guided stretch with a timer instead of a blank list of exercises
- Like a streak and a simple habit check-off to keep a stretching routine going
- Want a plain statement of what stretching can and cannot do for your height
- Are an adult who wants to ease a stiff neck, shoulders or hips from sitting
Not the right tool if you
- Hope to grow taller as an adult, because no stretch lengthens bones after growth plates close
- Have an injury, a spinal condition or ongoing back or neck pain and have not yet spoken with a doctor
- Are under 18, because the Play listing says the app asks you to confirm you are 18 or older
- Want a medical diagnosis or a treatment plan, which the app does not give
- Want all 26 routines, photo comparison and the AI plan for free
Safety and limits
Safety and limits
Posture Fix: Height Maximizer is a posture, stretching and habit-tracking tool for adults. It does not increase adult height, because once growth plates close no exercise, stretch or supplement lengthens bones. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Always move within a comfortable range. Stop any stretch that causes pain, and stop if you feel sharp or radiating pain. Do not push into a stretch to reach a number or to match the timer.
Talk to a doctor first if you have an injury, a spinal condition, or ongoing back or neck pain, and see a physician for persistent discomfort. The height log shows only your own entries and does not measure or predict growth.
Privacy
Your data
No sign-up is needed, since the app starts you on a guest profile. Your routine history, streak, habits, log entries and photos stay on your phone. The Pro weekly plan sends only your questionnaire answers, with no name, measurements or photos, to a server that passes them to a third-party AI service. The app uses Firebase, and the free version shows Google AdMob ads.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What are good posture exercises for sitting at a desk all day?
The usual targets are the places sitting tightens: the hip flexors and hamstrings, the upper back and the neck and shoulders. Posture Fix: Height Maximizer groups its 26 routines by those areas, with moves such as hip flexor opener, cat-cow, chin tucks, wall angels and a doorway chest opener, each as a timed step-by-step sequence. Short and regular beats long and occasional.
Can stretching make you taller?
Not as an adult in the sense of lengthening bones, because growth plates close after puberty. What stretching can do is ease spinal compression and loosen tight hips and shoulders so you stand at your full natural height instead of a slouched one. Posture Fix: Height Maximizer is built on that narrower promise and states plainly that it does not make you grow.
Why do people measure taller in the morning than at night?
The discs between your vertebrae compress gradually through the day with sitting, standing and everyday loading, and they recover when you lie down. That is a normal effect, not a sign of anything wrong. Posture Fix: Height Maximizer has an article on it and a height log, which records your own entries and does not measure or predict growth.
How long do the posture routines take?
Each routine is short. The screens in the app show durations of about two to three minutes per stretch, and the store listing describes the habit as a daily five-minute routine. You choose a body area, follow the timer and check it off, so the effort stays small enough to repeat every day.
Is Posture Fix: Height Maximizer free?
Yes, it is free to download. The free version includes one routine in each of the five body areas, the habit and streak tracker, the height log, progress photos, one daily reminder and three articles, and it shows ads. Pro unlocks all 26 routines, side-by-side photo comparison, the AI weekly plan, up to three reminders, all articles and no ads. The app is listed as Posture Fix: Height Maximizer on Google Play and as Posture: Height Maximizer on the App Store.
Is it safe to do these stretches if I have back pain?
That is a question for your doctor before you start. The app tells you to move within a comfortable range, to stop if you feel sharp or radiating pain, and to talk to a doctor first if you have an injury, a spinal condition or ongoing back or neck pain. It is a stretching and habit tool, not treatment.
What does the AI weekly stretch plan do?
In Pro, you answer a few questions about posture complaints, hours of sitting, flexibility level, target areas and minutes per day, and the app returns a seven-day plan that decides which routines to do on which day. Only the questionnaire answers are sent, with no name, measurements or photos, and the app builds the plan on your phone if the AI service is unavailable.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Posture Fix: Height Maximizer starts you on a guest profile, and your streak, habits, log entries and photos stay on your phone. Adults confirm they are 18 or older when they start, and the app is available in 10 languages.
Do the sleep and nutrition check-offs affect my height?
The app makes no such claim. Sleep and nutrition sit beside the stretch because consistent sleep supports recovery and the body's general wellness, and the articles on calcium, vitamin D and protein are described as general wellness information. They are habits to build, not a way to grow.
How is this different from apps that promise to make you grow taller?
Posture Fix: Height Maximizer makes no growth promise at all. It teaches posture and mobility routines, explains what stretching can and cannot do, and tracks your own consistency. The app says that no stretch changes adult bone length and that results vary and take weeks and months of steady habits.
