Motorcycle Ride Tracker & Log
Motorcycle Ride Tracker & Log — Your GPS ride log, garage and fuel book
Motorcycle Ride Tracker & Log (called Motorcycle Ride inside the app) is a free Android motorcycle ride tracker and logbook for riders who want an honest record of every trip and of the bikes that carried them. Tap Record, ride, and the trip is saved with its GPS route, distance, speed, lean and curve scores. A garage, a maintenance ledger and a fuel log sit beside it.

It is not navigation. It is the logbook you read after the ride.
There are no turn-by-turn directions, no live location sharing and no crash detection. Motorcycle Ride stays out of your way while you ride and gives you the trip, the route and the numbers afterwards.
What it is
Motorcycle Ride Tracker & Log is an Android app that records motorcycle trips with GPS and keeps them in a logbook. Each trip is saved with distance, duration, average and top speed, a route sketch and notes, and gets a lean score and a curve score worked out from how the GPS trace turns. A Corner Book sorts corners into hairpins, switchbacks, sweepers, chicanes and bends. A garage adds a maintenance ledger, service reminders and a fuel log per bike.
Inside the app
What it looks like

Background
What should a motorcycle ride log record, and why keep one?
A ride log is useful for the same reason a service book is: it turns memory into a record. Distance and time show how much you ride, the route shows where, and service and fuel entries show what each bike costs and when it needs attention. Many riders also like a measure of how a road felt, such as how twisty it was. A log is a personal record and a planning aid, not a safety device or a substitute for riding judgement.
Distance, time and speedthe basics of a trip
Distance and duration describe a ride, and average speed separates a twisty mountain road from a motorway commute. Top speed is best read after you stop, since watching a screen while moving is a distraction.
Lean and curve scoresstyle, not a measurement
Both scores are derived from how the GPS trace turns, so they describe riding style on a given road. They are not a measured lean angle, which would need dedicated sensors.
Corner typeshairpins to bends
Riders often name corners by shape: a hairpin turns back almost on itself, a switchback links a series of them, a sweeper is a long fast curve, a chicane is a quick left-right pair, and a bend is a gentle change of direction. Detection from GPS shows what was found, not an exact count.
Service by distancethe odometer follows your trips
Maintenance on a motorcycle is usually scheduled by distance or time, such as chain care, oil and tyres. A ledger that adds each recorded trip to the bike's odometer shows when a job is coming due, and a manual odometer check covers the distance the app never saw.
Fuel consumptionbrim to brim
Consumption is worked out by filling the tank, riding, and filling it again, then dividing the fuel added by the distance covered. Doing it consistently gives a range estimate and the cost per 100 km.
How it works
How a trip is recorded
The app asks for nothing while you ride. You start the recording, put the phone away and read the result afterwards.
Mount the phone and tap Record
Tap Record before you set off and leave the screen alone until you stop. Recording runs while the app stays open, the screen is kept awake and recording pauses if you switch apps. Location is used only during a recording, never in the background.
Read the trip in your log
Each trip is saved with distance, duration, average and top speed, a route sketch and your notes. If there is no GPS signal, the timer still saves the trip and you type the distance in, or you can log a ride by hand afterwards.
Tag the bike and look at the season
Tag each trip to a bike in your garage, then open Stats for totals, average lean and curve scores, the best curve score and a trend over your last 14 trips. A dry-tarmac filter keeps a wet or gravel day from skewing the numbers.
What's inside
What the app keeps track of
GPS
Trip recording
Distance, duration, average and top speed, a route sketch and notes for every trip, with an optional one-tap debrief for surface, traffic, ride type, pillion and luggage.
Score
Lean and curve scores
Riding-style scores worked out from your GPS trace, plus a Corner Book that sorts corners into hairpins, switchbacks, sweepers, chicanes and bends.
Garage
Bikes and maintenance
Add each bike with make, model and year, keep a service ledger, set optional service-due and idle-bike reminders, and run a pre-ride check of tyres, controls, lights, fluids, chain and stands.
Fuel
Fuel log
Consumption from brim-to-brim fill-ups, range and cost per 100 km for each bike.
Code
Group ride code
Share one trip's stats with a short 6-character code. A friend enters it to see distance, duration, lean and curve scores, with no live location and no speed rankings.
AI
Route ideas and Ride Advisor
Pick a mood and a maximum distance for AI route ideas to plan in your own maps app. Pro adds Ride Advisor, a written read on patterns in your recent riding.
Fit
Who it's for — and who it isn't
A good fit if you
- Want a record of every trip with its route, distance and notes
- Keep more than one bike and want service and fuel tracked for each
- Enjoy twisty roads and like to see how a trip compares with earlier ones
- Prefer an app that stays quiet during the ride and shows results afterwards
- Want to share one trip's stats with a friend through a short code
Not the right tool if you
- Need turn-by-turn navigation, live location sharing or crash detection, which the app does not provide
- Want your data backed up to the cloud; trips, routes, bikes and fuel logs stay on your phone
- Use an iPhone, since the app is on Android
Safety and limits
Ride within the law and your own limits
Motorcycle Ride is a logbook, not a safety device. It does not detect crashes, share your live location or call for help, and its lean and curve scores describe riding style, not safe speed on a given road.
Mount the phone before you set off and leave it alone while you ride. Do not adjust the app while the motorcycle is moving, and treat AI route ideas as suggestions to check on your own maps app, since the real roads, weather and conditions decide what is safe.
Privacy
Where your ride data lives
Trips, routes, bikes and fuel logs are stored on your phone with no cloud backup, so uninstalling removes them. No account is needed. The app uses Firebase analytics and Google AdMob, and ride data leaves the phone only for AI requests you agree to and stats you choose to share.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is a good motorcycle ride tracker app?
A good one records the whole trip without asking for attention while you ride and keeps the result in a log. Motorcycle Ride Tracker & Log saves each trip with a GPS route, distance, duration, speeds and notes, then adds lean and curve scores, a garage, a maintenance ledger and a fuel log. It is free to start on Android.
Is Motorcycle Ride a navigation app?
No. It has no turn-by-turn directions, no live location sharing and no crash detection. It is a motorcycle logbook that you read after the trip. Its AI route ideas are concepts to plan in your own maps app.
Does it use my location in the background?
No. Location is used only while a recording is running, and recording pauses if you switch to another app. The screen is kept awake during a recording so the trace stays continuous.
What are the lean score and the curve score?
Both are riding-style scores worked out from how the GPS trace of a trip turns. They are not a measured lean angle. The curve score appears in a trend over your last 14 trips, together with an average and a best value.
How does the motorcycle maintenance ledger work?
You add each bike with its make, model and year and tag trips to it. The odometer follows the distance you record, and an odometer check adds the distance the app never saw. Optional service-due and idle-bike reminders are scheduled on your phone, and Pro keeps a ledger for every bike.
Can I track fuel use for each bike?
Yes. The fuel log works from brim-to-brim fill-ups and shows consumption, range and cost per 100 km for each bike. Distances are in kilometres and fuel is in litres.
What does the free version include?
Free use includes recording, the full log and stats, your garage, the fuel log, the pre-ride check, group codes, a service ledger for your first bike, the Corner Book over your last 20 trips and 5 AI route ideas a month. The free version shows ads, never during a recording. Pro removes ads and unlocks unlimited route ideas, Ride Advisor, a ledger for every bike and the whole Corner Book.
Is my ride data backed up?
No. Trips, routes, bikes and fuel logs are stored on your phone only, so uninstalling the app removes them. You do not need an account, and sign-in is optional.
Can I use it with friends?
You can share one trip's stats with a 6-character code. A friend who enters it sees the trip's distance, duration, lean and curve scores. There is no live location, no social feed and no speed ranking.
Is Motorcycle Ride Tracker & Log on iPhone?
No. Motorcycle Ride Tracker & Log is available on Android through Google Play, and it is one app whose own screens call it Motorcycle Ride.
