Reading Affiliate Program Dashboards

Your affiliate program dashboard is the central hub for monitoring program health. Key sections include an overview of clicks, conversions, and commissions; an affiliate-level performance breakdown; a transaction log; and pending commission balances.

Familiarize yourself with dashboard filters so you can quickly isolate performance by affiliate, date range, product, or promotional method. Regular dashboard reviews help you spot trends and outliers before they become significant issues.

Top Affiliate Performance Metrics

The most important performance metrics for individual affiliates are click volume, conversion rate (conversions divided by clicks), average order value, total commissions earned, and earnings per click (EPC). EPC is particularly useful for comparing affiliates who send very different traffic volumes.

Conversion rate disparity across affiliates reveals a great deal. A high-traffic affiliate with a low conversion rate may be attracting poorly qualified visitors, while a lower-traffic affiliate with a high conversion rate is likely sending highly motivated buyers.
