Start With a Job, Not a Mic

Before buying equipment, define the business job your podcast must do. Is it awareness, lead nurturing, recruiting, or thought leadership?

A clear job shapes every later choice: topic, format, length, and call to action. Shows that launch without a job tend to fade after a few episodes.

Pick a Sharp Niche

Broad shows compete with everyone. A narrow, specific angle attracts a passionate audience and makes you the obvious choice in that space.

Instead of "marketing tips," try "growth tactics for B2B SaaS founders." Niche down until the ideal listener thinks the show was made just for them.
