The user then interacts directly with Stripe's secure portal.

Generating a Portal Link

To give your customer access, your backend needs to create a billing_portal.Session object with Stripe.

You'll need two key pieces of information:

Customer ID: The ID of the customer in Stripe (e.g., cus_xyz).
Return URL: Where to send the customer after they're done in the portal.

This ensures the portal is personalized and secure.
