The Customer Portal Flow
Here's a simple overview of how a user accesses the portal:

- Your backend server makes an API call to Stripe to create a unique portal session.
- Stripe returns a secure URL for that session.
- Your server redirects the user's browser to this Stripe-hosted URL.
The user then interacts directly with Stripe's secure portal.
Generating a Portal Link
To give your customer access, your backend needs to create a billing_portal.Session object with Stripe.
You'll need two key pieces of information:
- Customer ID: The ID of the customer in Stripe (e.g.,
cus_xyz). - Return URL: Where to send the customer after they're done in the portal.
This ensures the portal is personalized and secure.
