Single Source of Truth
The Gateway is the single source of truth. Whenever something needs to know the real state, it asks the Gateway first.
It Owns Sessions
The Gateway owns your sessions, the separate threads of context. It keeps each one tracked so conversations stay in the right place.
It Owns Routing
The Gateway also owns routing. It decides which agent and which session an incoming message should go to.
It Owns Channel Connections
Finally, the Gateway owns every channel connection. All your chat bridges, like WhatsApp or Telegram, attach to this one hub.
One Hub for Everything
Sessions, routing, and channels all live in one place. That makes the Gateway the central hub of OpenClaw. 🎯
