Tracking key metrics helps you understand if your design system is actually helping teams, improving products, and saving resources.

Where Does a DS Make a Difference?

Where does a design system make a difference? It touches many parts of product development! We'll look at impact across several key areas:

  • Adoption: Is it being used?
  • Efficiency: Is it saving time?
  • Quality & Consistency: Is it making products better?
  • User Experience: Is it delighting users?
  • Financial: Is it saving money (ROI)?

Tracking Design System Adoption

First, we need to know if people are actually using the design system. High adoption means your investment is paying off!
