What a Node Is
A node is a mobile companion app on iOS or Android that pairs with your Gateway, extending OpenClaw beyond your computer to your phone. 📱

Each node connects back to your Gateway, the single daemon that already owns your sessions, routing, and channels, so your phone joins the same brain.
Why Pair a Phone at All
Pairing a phone unlocks hardware your laptop lacks: a camera, a microphone, and a touch screen, all feeding into the same assistant you already use.
Meet Canvas
Once paired, a node opens Canvas, a workspace on your phone where OpenClaw can show and work with content right on the device.
