A node is a mobile companion app on iOS or Android that pairs with your Gateway, extending OpenClaw beyond your computer to your phone. 📱
Nodes Pair With the Gateway
Each node connects back to your Gateway, the single daemon that already owns your sessions, routing, and channels, so your phone joins the same brain.
Why Pair a Phone at All
Pairing a phone unlocks hardware your laptop lacks: a camera, a microphone, and a touch screen, all feeding into the same assistant you already use.
Meet Canvas
Once paired, a node opens Canvas, a workspace on your phone where OpenClaw can show and work with content right on the device.
Camera Workflows
With a node, OpenClaw can use your phone camera, so workflows that need a real photo or a live look can run from your pocket. 📷
Voice Workflows
Nodes also enable voice workflows, letting you speak to OpenClaw and have it respond, hands-free, through your mobile device.
