IDEs & Gradle: A Perfect Match
Modern Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) are essential tools for developers. When working with Gradle, integrating your IDE properly can drastically improve your workflow, making tasks like building, testing, and debugging much smoother.

IntelliJ: Automatic Gradle Import

Type "Gradle: Run Task" and select the task you want to execute. The output will appear in the integrated terminal, just as if you ran it from the command line.
Debugging in VS Code
Debugging Java/Groovy applications built with Gradle in VS Code requires the "Java Debugger" extension. You can configure launch configurations in .vscode/launch.json to attach the debugger to your application when a Gradle task (like bootRun for Spring Boot) starts it.
While debugging custom Gradle tasks written in Groovy or Kotlin DSL is possible, it often requires more advanced setup, such as configuring remote debuggers for the Gradle daemon.
