Staying in Control of an Agent
Set limits and check the work when AI acts for you.
Power Needs Oversight
The more an AI agent can do on its own, the more important it is that you stay in control. An agent that acts — booking, sending, spending — can save you huge time, but it can also make confident mistakes with real consequences. Staying the supervisor is the skill that lets you enjoy the convenience without getting burned. You delegate the work, not your judgment.
Set Clear Limits Up Front
Before an agent runs, tell it the boundaries. Suggest flights under 300 dollars but do not book anything — show me first. Clear limits on spending, sending, and scope prevent the agent from going further than you want. Spelling out what it may and may not do is the single most effective way to keep a powerful tool from surprising you.
