Making Short Videos With AI Tools
An intro to text-to-video and AI editing helpers.
Video Without a Film Crew
Making video used to mean cameras, editing software, and hours of work. Now AI tools can turn a written idea into short clips, animate images, add voiceovers, and trim footage with a few clicks. You do not need to be a filmmaker. If you can describe what you want in plain words, you can start creating simple videos for fun, social posts, or small projects.
What Text-to-Video Does
Some AI tools generate short video clips from a written description — this is called text-to-video. You type a scene, like a calm beach at sunset with gentle waves, and the tool produces a few seconds of moving footage. The results are improving fast but still have limits: clips are short, and complex actions or text can look odd. Great for mood and backgrounds, less so for precise scenes.
