Reading Manifests with helm get all

Want only the YAML that was applied? helm get manifest prints the rendered Kubernetes objects for the current revision.

Use helm get values to see the user-supplied configuration. It shows what you overrode, not the chart defaults.

Add --all to merge chart defaults with your overrides. This reveals the full computed configuration the release actually used.

Lost the instructions a chart printed? helm get notes re-renders the NOTES.txt for the release any time you need it.

Run helm get hooks to list the hook resources tied to a release, like the migration Jobs that fired during install.

Add --revision to read an older snapshot. Helm keeps each revision, so you can inspect exactly what an earlier deploy applied.

The cluster shows live objects, but helm get shows the source of truth Helm tracked, including hooks kubectl alone cannot tie back.

Releases are namespaced, so pass --namespace if the release does not live in your default one, or Helm reports it as not found.

Save the manifest output to a file, then compare it to a fresh helm template render to spot drift between deployed and intended state.

You now recover any release with helm get: all, manifest, values --all, notes, and hooks, even for a past revision. It is your forensic toolkit. 🚀
